  Well, Am I just a coward or what?

  i've made mention in a couple of recent posts how some witnesses have come to my house.

  i wasn't home but received a note.

  in the development where i live, there are a couple of families that go to the local kh.

  in one of the few conversations i have had with any of my family members since being disfellowshipped, my aunty said that was logical that i can not find another religion, as if i was not going to be a jw then "there certainly isn't any other religion that is better.

  " to me that sort of thinking could only come from someone tripping.

  I was part of a strange little group...now more so...littler and stranger

  have you ever wished we were more mainstream?

  it was weird enough being a dub, but they were a decent sized group.

  i could get laid in most halls i visited, plus there was communinty.

  Just got home....as usual bone tired....

  Really, this group is just the tip of huge iceburg...stats say 1 mil have left the org the last ten years. Also, this is the vocal, interacting, "reaching out" section. And, in your Journey, everyone here will, as a group, help you in stabalizing and moving forward.

  I see this board as a beginning for many.....you seem to be one. THIS is not the only tool in the box, however, it is multi-use to say the least. As you go along, you will pick up other tools that are more specific, more useful for the task at hand. Also, the relationships formed here serve as a tutor for the "belly to belly" (not sex.....) encounters that will start manifesting themselve post exit.

  I am glad we have met here...one day it would be nice to meet you face to face...

  New Light Extravagansa!!

  a lot of people are in a little fuss about the generation change, which as far as im concerned, doesn't change anything, it could be step one of a bigger adjustment down the track, but on its own, its been done.

  but at the annual meeting of the wtbs, there wasn't 1 but 5 changes of thought, the light has literally exploded.

  one that has caught my attention is the the change on the dragnet of matthew 13. if you have wt 92 6/15 read it!

  ' previously, this journal has explained that in the first century, "this generation" mentioned at matthew 24:34 meant "the contemporaneous generation of unbelieving jews.

  I read the article and it is sense-less.....they contradict themselves in bringing up the apostals....The apostolic age was less than seventy years....only a twit...like I was for forty years....would buy into this convoluted muck....

  Do you think DOCTRINE matters to most JW's? Did it matter to you?

  there's so much 'new light' coming out recently but i wonder if any of it really hits home to the average dub.

  i think a good deal of those who leave do so because of a lack of real, honest love.

  they get sick of the judgemental attitude and the continual grind.

  ALL the research I did that led to my confrontation with the Elders was accomplished with the Society's publications; I did NOT go onto any boards or other "apostate" material. The WT's own material, if viewed as a JW would study and evaluate other material is damning enough.

  I can NOT understand how someone could read C of C or other "apsotate" material (like "The Gentile Times Reconsidered") or post on boards like this and stay "in." If I had of known the full depth of the material available and read it, as many do here, I would have been forced to tell the GB to stuff it.

  I know many stay in for a variety of reasons. The WT taught me one thing very well: The Truth is worth dying for .....loyalty to Truth is loyalty to God.

  The trouble is: The teacher demanded the student to break this primary rule as a pledge of loyalty....yeah, like that would fly....

  We all have to make our own way in Journey....I wish those well that can know reality and live in harmony with the insane: I could not do it.....

  Thanks for the feedback....you know I usually post on getting home when Mrs. Williams and Levi are asleep....hey...it is this or porn and there is NO comparison...THIS is so much more interesting. :-)

  I was just sorta freaked as everyone you mentioned is so cool...

  Wishing you and the Mrs a good night's rest...that is where I am headed after a bath to wash this hatchery muck off.
